Emery Walker’s House
The House is open and we are taking bookings for the rest of the year. We are open every Thursday and Saturday as well as for specialist tours which run monthly.
Tours last one hour and must be pre-booked. After a short introductory talk, one of our experienced tour guides will accompany you through all the main rooms in the house and (weather permitting) the garden, bringing to life the history of this unique house by the Thames.
Private group tours
We can offer these on other days of the week, priced at £100 for up to eight people, by direct arrangement with us. Please mail your requirements and a few date options to firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 020 8741 4104. We offer bespoke group tours on days other than Thursdays and Saturdays.
William Morris Society
The museum is open to the public on Thursday and Saturday afternoons. Admission is free and no booking is necessary, but do check the William Morris Society’s website to make sure it is open and not running a special event that day.
We also offer bespoke tours on request.
Specialist Arts & Crafts Textile Tours
We run monthly textile tours which take you to both The William Morris Society’s premises and Emery Walker’s House at 7 Hammersmith Terrace, with a particular focus on the Arts & Crafts textiles in both collections .
Our joint specialist tours will start at Kelmscott House with an introduction to The William Morris Society’s textile collection, which includes both William and May Morris’s original designs followed by tea/coffee and biscuits.
A short walk along the river will then take us to 7 Hammersmith Terrace where participants will be able to view textiles in situ in this recently restored Arts & Crafts gem. Price £35, please book via the calendar at the top of this page.
